Jennifer Maffetone-Veri, Art

Mrs. Maffetone-Veri is an art teacher and has made her home here at South Pointe High School. This is her second year with SPHS and she is excited to help her students learn more about art. She holds a Master’s Degree in Arts Therapy and Counseling from Seton Hill University and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Visual Communication with a concentration in Painting from Towson University. She moved here a few years ago from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where she has taught for well over ten years as a college professor and for various community arts based organizations. In addition to her extensive visual arts background, Mrs. Maffetone-Veri is a formally trained musician in woodwinds and percussion and performs regularly in a musical ensemble in the Phoenix area. She is committed to encouraging students to continue to be involved in the arts for both self-care and engagement within the community.
